Safety as a core value means prioritizing the well-being of individuals and communities in every decision and action. It involves creating environments, systems, and practices that protect people from harm and prevent accidents or injuries. We want to foster safety as our first core value by re-vamping our program. We are implementing classes that prioritize understanding the body before introducing big movements. With this, we believe in emphasizing consistent education on a coaches end too. Coaches are held to high safety standards when working with children. We want to ensure our clients that our coaches are constantly receiving training on how to provide you with a better tumbling environment & experience overall.
Trust as a core value is fundamental to building strong, positive relationships, whether within an organization, with clients, or in personal relationships. It involves reliability, integrity, and transparency. We foster trust in our program by being family oriented and involved in our athletes lives in & outside of the gyms. We make sure to keep in touch with our alumni, attend graduations, birthdays, and more. We believe X-Cel is a big family whether you are in our rec classes or on our competitive teams. Our athletes on team learn how to trust one another when building stunts and running routines. Our recreational athletes learn to trust coaches while spotting them for skills that may be a little bit scary at first to learn.
Resilience as a core value involves the ability to adapt, recover, and thrive in the face of challenges and adversity. It means fostering a mindset and environment where setbacks are viewed as opportunities for growth and improvement. Resilience rears its head at the face of adversity. We know all about what it's like to be resilient! As a micro gym, it can be difficult at times. At X-Cel, we believe we have done a fantastic job at giving our kids the same opportunities, if not more than what a big gym can offer. We learned how to be resilient durring the pandemic as well. We promise to foster resilience with a mindset that values setbacks are important to our growth, too.
When impactful is a core value, it means that individuals and organizations prioritize making a significant, positive difference in their work, communities, and the world. This value emphasizes the importance of meaningful contributions and results. We truly believe we can be impactful by teaching our athletes how to follow through on their commitments. This leads into adulthood where they will continue to make impactful life choices on their future families, careers, and endeavors. We are a results focused gym - we move at a pace that is right for your child. Not too much, not too little, a pace that is just right for your child to learn. This creates a level of dedication in our athletes that we believe sets us apart from the rest.
When virtuous is a core value, it signifies a commitment to upholding high moral standards and ethical principles in all actions and decisions. This value emphasizes integrity, honesty, and moral character. At X-Cel, we do hold our athletes to a very high standard. This means things like social and school image are upkept. Valuing yourself, your team, and your fellow athletes is extremely important when you are an athlete at X-Cel. We do NOT condone bullying of any kind and have worked very diligently to create a culture where we foster sportsmanship & friendship. Being honest is everything to us, even when conversations between parents & athletes are difficult to have. We promise to work hard everyday to create opportunities to feel heard by our staff when you are experiencing issues in the gym, or outside of the gym.
When educate is embraced as a core value, it signifies a commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and the development of individuals and communities. This value emphasizes the importance of fostering growth, empowering others through knowledge, and promoting lifelong learning. Education is a big deal when it comes to flipping, tossing, and twisting in cheer and tumbling. Being educated on the correct body positions is crucial to avoiding injuries in our sport. Every day we continue to teach our athletes how to work with their specific learning style. We also teach our athletes how to communicate with their teammates/classmates on how to adapt to other learning styles! We also believe in consistent training with our staff, this means they are learning new skills every month to implement and growing as coaches.
